March Market Piles

It is fine and dandy to hear the Market info from the National news and better yet from Florida news sources but best yet is the local stats. I can give you Charlotte County numbers to better suit your needs.

According to the National Association of Realtors, existing-home sales were essentially flat in March, while the growth in home prices moderated. The median existing-home price for all housing types in March was $198,500, up 7.9 percent from March 2013.

According to Florida Association of Realtors, the home sales have slowed in March 2014 due to the decrease of all cash investors. But the market prices continue to increase with a median sale price for single family homes at $173,000 and $140,000 for condo/townhouses.

According to the stats of the local MLS Board it shows, as you can see below, that the median price in the Charlotte County MLS area for single family homes is $142,500 and $115,500 for condo/townhouses. You can also see from the chart that the change from last year in median price is 7.1% for single family homes and 2.2% for condo/townhouses.
